Student Resources

SEACSM is all about student networking!

Getting involved with the Southeast chapter of ACSM is a great opportunity for students to speak directly to graduate students and faculty to learn about potential educational or employment opportunities. Both the national and regional ACSM meetings give students an opportunity to learn about a variety of research applications through personal interaction, and to present their research in a professional setting. Not to mention, it’s fun!

Whether you are seeking information about a prospective graduate program or just enjoy meeting others with similar interests, networking with other students is a learning experience you cannot find anywhere else!

You can stay up to date with SEACSM activities by joining our Facebook group and following us on Twitter and Instagram. If you are already an SEACSM member you should be receiving our monthly newsletter; if not, you can subscribe here.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

SEACSM Student Research Awards

Student Research Awards given out each year at the regional meeting for Doctoral, Master’s, and Undergraduate students. Applicants for the Student Research Award must be enrolled in or have graduated from an institution in the Southeast region and must be the principal author on an abstract that has been accepted for presentation at the Annual Meeting. Students are encouraged to submit their research projects for review for these awards.

Presentations selected for the Student Award sessions are reviewed by a panel of judges at the Annual Meeting. Winners receive a plaque and a check sponsored by the SEACSM and ACSM.
