Program
The program is LONG (190 pages!) so you can also separately download the conference information and schedule, the presentation listing with titles and authors, and all abstracts. There is also a visual schedule showing what is happening, when, and where during the conference.
Congratulations to all SEACSM members who will be presenting in oral and poster free communication sessions, thematic poster sessions, tutorials, and symposia at the Annual Meeting!
To make sure your presentation and the meeting as a whole runs smoothly, there are a few things you need to do to prepare. First, make sure you register for the conference and book a hotel room. Then, prepare your presentation following the guidelines below.
Poster free communications and thematic posters
Posters should fit on a display board which is 4 feet high and 6 feet wide. To make your poster easily readable, the title, author(s), and institution should be prominently displayed across the top border with lettering height between 1–2 inches. Choose large font (at least 18 points) and clear graphics that can be easily viewed from a distance of about three feet. Most importantly, make sure you know the time and location of your session to have your poster set up and ready. If you are flying, bring your poster as carry-on luggage to make sure it arrives with you. More detailed poster presentation guidelines are available here.
Oral free communications, tutorial, and symposia
If you have an oral presentation, you will submit your presentation before the conference so it can be loaded on the conference computers. You will receive instructions about submitting your presentation 2-3 weeks before the meeting. You should plan to have your presentation submitted at least one week before the conference. If you have any questions about preparing and submitting your presentation, please contact Executive Board member Liz Ackley at ackley@roanoke.edu.
Student AV teams are responsible for providing audiovisual support for presenters during keynote, tutorial, symposium, and oral free communication sessions. Teams include 2–4 students and a faculty sponsor who will be attending the meeting. Each team must bring a laptop computer, projector, supporting peripherals (cords, adapters, etc.), and a laser pointer.
SEACSM will provide one hotel room for the two nights of the conference for each AV team. Only one AV team will be permitted per institution. AV Teams must arrive at the conference by noon on Thursday and stay through the lunch on Saturday.
The AV Teams for the 2025 Annual Meeting have been determined.
Look for more information about applying for an AV Team from your school next September.
For questions or more information about AV Teams, please contact Liz Ackley at ackley@roanoke.edu.
The Annual Meeting is the time when we elect new members to the SEACSM Executive Board. This year we will be selecting a President-Elect, three At-Large Members, one Student Representative, and one Representative to ACSM.
President Elect: Jody Clasey, PhD, FACSM | Nicole Rendos, PhD, FACSM
At-Large Members: Sarah Fretti, PhD | Megan Holmes, PhD | Cody Morris, Phd, FACSM | Zacharias Papadakis, PhD, FACSM | Chris Wilburn, PhD | Kevin Zwetsloot, PhD
Student Representative: Frances Alexandre (BS student) | Nicholas Remillard (PhD student)
Representative to ACSM: Ed Acevedo, PhD, FACSM | Becki Battista, PhD, FACSM
Find out more about the candidates, see their CVs, and learn about their goals as a board member at the Elections website.
All SEACSM members will receive a link to the online voting platform by email before the conference. Look for an email from Survey Monkey (and check your junk folder if you don’t see it).
You are still eligible to vote if you become a SEACSM member when you register onsite for the conference on Thursday, Feb. 20. If you register after Feb. 20 you will not be able to vote.
One of the highlights of the conference is the opportunity for one-on-one interactions with exhibitors participating in the meeting. The opportunity to learn more about the products and services that companies and organizations have to offer sports medicine and exercise science professionals is an important part of the meeting.
The sponsors and exhibitors that participate at the annual meeting are from a wide variety of industries and institutions. These vendors offer products, equipment or services that the conference attendees frequently use in their professions.
Please contact Michael Berry (berry@wfu.edu) if you or your company or institution would like to participate as a sponsor or exhibitor, or if you know of a company or institution that you would like to see at the meeting.
